GSUSA -- The Girl Scouts of the United States of America
Aims to empower girls and to help teach values such as honesty, fairness, courage, compassion, character, sisterhood, confidence, and citizenship through activities including camping, community service, learning first aid, and earning badges by acquiring other practical skills.
WAGGGS -- World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts,
GSUSA is a member of WAGGGS and pays dues based on the membership in the GSUSA. Through its membership the Girl Scouts of the USA is part of a worldwide family of 10 million girls and adults in 145 countries.
UN -- United Nations.
The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) has worked with the (UN) for over 60 years and continues to enjoy a productive relationship with a number of its agencies. UN teams are made up of volunteers who ensure that girls and young women have their voices heard at the highest level. UN Team members represent WAGGGS at UN meetings, on committees and at major international conferences.
UNICEF -- United Nations Children's Fund.

In 2002 at the World Summit for Children, UNICEF distribute a manual in Mexico with a section on sexual practices and pleasures.
CSW -- Commission on the Status of Women.
Each year, WAGGGS sends a delegation of young women to the CSW - United Nations annual meeting in which UN members discuss issues around women and gender equality.
UNFPA -- United Nations Population Fund
The goals of UNFPA - achieving universal access to sexual and reproductive health (including family planning), promoting reproductive rights, reducing maternal mortality and accelerating progress on the ICPD agenda and MDG 5 - are inextricably linked. UNFPA also focuses on improving the lives of youths and women by advocating for human rights and gender equality and by promoting the understanding of population dynamics.
CPD -- UN Commission on Population and Development
Commission, as a functional commission assisting the Council, would monitor, review and assess the implementation of the Programme of Action at the national, regional and international levels and advise the Council thereon.
IPPF -- International Planned Parenthood Federation.

Published by the International Planned Parenthood Federation is aimed at adolescents and young adults it promotes sexual pleasure, contains graphic information on sex and sexuality. The booklet mentions having sex when drunk, "talking dirty," and depicts both same-sex and opposite-sex couples. It tells HIV-positive youth that it is a violation of their rights to have to inform their sexual partners they are infected.
